The Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for the plan, schedule, implementation and budget for developing Automated Production Line Machinery, Tooling, Molds and Fixturing. Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. DUTIES &
Responsibilities: 1.Develop full project plans including requirements gathering, communicate plans, direct, and manage project development beginning to end. 2.Identify, track, manage project dependencies, critical path, and deliverables. 3.Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project 2010, Project Professional. 4.Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. , and communicate with the manufacturing engineering teams. Assembly multi-discipline teams (purchasing, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and marketing.) 6.Deep understanding of manufacturing environments, tool development, production processes and implementation of improvements derived from these activities. 7.Ability to utilize templates to efficiently build schedules with the ability to quickly identify the necessary tasks per the applicable project 8.Manage multiple simultaneous projects, lead highly efficient team meetings. Follow up on action items, risks and closure of these. 9.Lead internal project reviews and report out results. 10.Team leader, problem mitigator and spokesperson. 11.Plan project risks and mitigation of those risks. 12.Responsible for lessons learned process and post mortem of projects at closure. 13.Lead/own manufacturing project reporting to leadership team 14.Responsible for financial planning participation, preparation and managing of capital allocated to manufacturing projects. 15.Resource management skills to adjust work assignments and balance resources. REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or manufacturing technology PREFERRED EDUCATION:
MSME, MSEE, MSIE
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) REQUIRED WORK
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' job experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience with engineering in a manufacturing industry, preferably electronics industries. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proven analytical and critical thinking abilities resulting in sound solutions.
Calm professional demeanor especially under pressure
Proven ability to apply technical knowledge to business requirements.
Computer skills, MS Word, Excel, Project, Project Professional, (near expert level)
Excellent (written and verbal) skills for effective and concise communication. Ability to listen to others for meaning and intent.
Fosters communication with others.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate, develop, influence and work with other individuals and teams.
Demonstrated ability to establish goals, project timelines and plan, prioritize and monitor workload of self and others to meet objectives and deliverables.
Ability to remain flexible when changes arise.
Basic understanding of financial, market and business initiatives and how Engineering priorities support them
Manages projects in a cost conscious and efficient manner
Knowledge of PMBOK concepts, development of Project Charter, Scope Statements, and Project Management plans.
Developing the project plan, managing the project team, managing the project schedule, and managing the project budget required.
Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions observes results and makes corrections. PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Advanced project management skills--ability to solve the most complex problems efficiently and effectively
Expert knowledge of Molex products, plant processes and procedures--shares this knowledge with others
Advanced understanding of how engineering interrelates with other functions in the organization
Proficient in MOLEX PDP techniques and disciplines.
CAD and Programming experience is a plus.
