DescriptionSummaryThe Manager of Manufacturing leads the BEI Space Programs and is responsible for People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Innovation performance for our both our internal and external stakeholders.
In this role, the Manager is expected to Lead Projects and interact regularly with the cross-functional production support team, operations, Program Managers, and executive leadership.
This position requires strong leadership and people skills, the ability to problem solve, proactively identify issues, and develop and communicate action plans as this drives a positive culture through transparency, safety, quality, and respect.

Essential Functions:
o Directs all aspects and phases of designated operations from inception through completion, including fabrication, machining, assembly, test, and integration.
o Monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, cost performance to budgets, identifies process problems, develops solutions, and provides cost and schedule performance data/status within manufacturing.
o Direct the work of employees, supports safety initiatives, and interfaces with cross-functional teams as required for areas of responsibility.
o Utilizes internal resources, and coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, production control, purchasing, engineering, etc.
o Drive results and operational efficiency across all aspects of Safety, Quality, Deliveries, Cost, and Morale,o Dives 6S projects, safety walks, audit readiness, flexible factory and equipment layout, work transfers and scheduling initiatives to drive a continuous improvement culture across Manufacturing.
o Foster high levels of employee engagement through seeking employee feedback, focused team projects, and Manufacturing Supervisor team projectsProvide leadership across the Space manufacturing team.
The ability to direct and lead the organization to meet manufacturing delivery dates will be critical as well as providing leadership and guidance in areas such as:
technical guidance, process development, continuous improvement, safety, capacity and production planning, Capital/Facility planning, cost/benefit analysis,o Manpower planning and staffing, workforce engagement, and merit planningWork with the various leaders across the site to meet all business requirements and milestones is a key function of this roleRequirementsEducation :
o Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Business Administration, Engineering Discipline, or related field Technical Field.
Experience:
o 10
years' experience managing Manufacturing plant in aerospace, fabrication, or high tech manufacturing environment.
Experience in Mission assurance requirements a plus.
o Knowledge advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
o Direct experience in a continuous process improvement environment, Deploying Lean/Six Sigma, Green Belt required, Black belt preferred, working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management SystemsOther:
