3rd Shift Machine Technician Stage 1 Trainee (Thermoforming Mold Set Up and Production Line Work) - No phone calls please at Plastic Ingenuity Maumelle, AR

Position Summary and Snapshot The machine technician trainee will undergo extensive training to learn uniform and consistent machine set up and operations of Plastic Ingenuity thermoforming production lines.
This will be a combination of on the floor training and class time.
For the first couple of months, the training will consist of learning Plastic Ingenuity's production line.
The machine technician trainee is also expected to proceed through the established skills progression for the position.
Plastic Ingenuity is a leader in thermoforming because of our emphasis on engineering and continual improvement.
All machine technician trainees will learn how to monitor and troubleshoot the successful flow of our extruded plastic sheets/rolls into our thermoformer, trim press, and then the transfer of final product pallets.
Machine technician trainees will spend most of their time supporting the production line which may include, making boxes, transferring pallets from line to warehouse, ensuring empty bins are available for scrapped plastic, and transferring full bins of scrapped plastic to grinding area.
All machine technician trainees are hired with the goal of becoming a stage 1 machine technician which may take a training period of anywhere from 9 to 12 months.
We have 5 Stages of Machine Technicians and proceeding through the stages comes with years of experience.

Essential Job FunctionsReview quality of parts with the inspector/packer in order to learn if the quality of the parts are within acceptable standards.
Perform duties of Inspector Packer when required.
Receive ongoing training on machine set-up and operation.
Attend machine technician classesDemonstrate teamwork, patience, and willingness to learn plastic ingenuity processes Learn how to adjust machine settings if needed for troubleshooting Work with and communicate with extruder operator, inspector packer, and crew lead to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Follow good manufacturing practices and SQF guidelines.
Complete production records when neededOperate overhead cranePerform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Crew Leader.
Safety Sensitive Position Base Pay Rate $17.
